Reflections by Aisyah Munirah (17/10/12

Assalamualaikum and evening earthlings.

What have I learnt?
On Monday dated 15th October 2012 was the second class conducted by Miss Elaine. I must say, I am getting much more impressed by her spirit in teaching us. On that particular day, the first task given was more to physical activity ( and I was appointed as the leader on that since we had to take turns in playing every role in this course) and we did some Hi(s), high-fives, and tens by walking around the lecture hall and greeting new people (but movement was very limited as the hall only had space for stairs. But at least I felt less sleepy and energized right after the activity was done. So from that activity, what I have learnt was boosting up confidence level, to actually do something random to random people. And the feeling was definitely positive since everyone was absorbing positive charge and expelling the negative ones out!

Moreover, another activity that I find interesting was, when all of us was divided into different teams/roles which comprises investors, competitors, employees, customers and suppliers. And then a scenario or case was given and it was about McDonald having its company shares dropping due to a news publishment by WHO about McDonald's food being hazardous, and which side was responsible? Each team had to defend their role and BLAME other teams, finding faults of other teams too. So from that we can see some individuals in being critical about their roles, whats the significance and relevance to their defending statements. From that, Miss Elaine the outcome of this activity was all about students being a critical thinker and how they voice out their minds.

How do I feel?
Amazed :-)

Where and How I can apply?
Where and how, that is the question. Not everyone can think critically. Being critical requires a person to think beyond the box, analytical and more. Maybe at certain situations, we can be critical during problem solving too.

Looking forward for the business and entrepreneurship project after this :)
